ZeroDrift bills three things, and nothing else. You pay per validation at your model’s rate, you pay for custom rules in groups of 10, and on Flagship you pay once for Training Studio. New accounts start with $10 in free credits. A validation is one enforcement call on a message of up to 2,000 tokens, checked against your active rules. If the model rewrites, the rewrite and its verification are part of that same validation.

What you’re billed for

Validation

Per validation, at your model’s rate. Rewrite is included, never a separate charge.

Custom rules

Every 10 rules applied to a message counts as one validation at that same rate.

Training Studio

Optional and one-time, per rule trained. Flagship only — Max has nothing to train.

Mini is detection-only, so it never rewrites. Flagship and Max include rewrite at the same per-validation price. Output tokens are not billed separately.

Custom rules

Custom rules are billed in groups of 10, as validations at your model’s rate. The group charge is the cost of the message, not an addition to it: a message with 1 to 10 rules applied costs exactly one validation. This price is the same however the rules got there. On Flagship, activated rules run whether or not you train them — Training Studio is optional and adds a policy-specific adapter on top. On Max, rules are evaluated at inference from your uploaded policy. Either way, every rule runs against every line, which is why the cost lands on the validation call.

Training Studio

Flagship (Anchor 3.0)

First 5 rules trained are free. Each rule after that is $10 to train or retrain, billed once for that run.

Max (Anchor 3.0 Max)

Nothing to train. Upload your policy document and Max evaluates it at inference, free and unlimited.
Training is optional. Activated rules enforce without it, and training does not change what a validation costs — see Train an Adapter for when an adapter is worth it. At launch, adapters are available only for Flagship, and training is a one-time charge per run: running those rules afterward still bills as custom-rule validations above.

Max costs nothing to set up. Flagship costs less per message either way — skip training and those 12 rules still enforce at the same two-validation price, so training buys an adapter’s judgment, not the ability to run the rules.
